I have no idea what made me feel like this was our home. It was old, stinky and everything needed replacing esthetic wise. The house has good bones and tons of potential. This was maybe the 11 th house we looked at and the pressure was on. We had sold our house in Penhold and time was ticking. The price was listed low because of the state it was in and we got it. There was another bid but ours won out. Now when I say we are going to renovate this house in 2 weeks and move in everyone thought I was crazy. We got possession 2 weeks before we had to be out of the house in Penhold. We walked into our new home at 12 on Friday and I was already tearing up carpet while our Realtor was still doing the walk through. By that Friday night carpet was up. There was so much dirt under the carpets my Dad joked we could have planted a garden. The next day we tackled the basement and tore up carpet, took down kitchen cabinets, and tried to get rid of the pee smell. Sunday we moved from Penhold to our garage in Lacombe. With an amazing group of family and friends it took 1 trip. Monday to Wednesday I painted the entire upstairs. Then the floors went in on the weekend while I had A market I organise. The following week we moved in. Set up our home.   In the first 4 weeks here in Lacombe we renovated 3 bedrooms , A kitchen, dining and living room, basement, studio, built a deck and fence, moved, unpacked, cleaned up 1000 dandelions, took down a satellite dish and we are not done yet. We have documented it all and are ready to share our process and ideas with you all. Stayed tuned.
